Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing oil pressure switch for reduced oil pressure -F378-

Using jointed wrench 24 mm -T40175-, this page covers removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 reduced oil pressure switch -F378- — pull the activated charcoal solenoid valve -N80- off the intake manifold first.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
Jointed wrench 24 mm -T40175-
Removing
–  Pull activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80--3- off intake manifold and push it downwards slightly.
 

Removing and installing oil pressure switch for reduced oil pressure -F378-

–  Disconnect electrical connector -2-.
  Note
Place a cloth underneath to catch escaping engine oil.
–  Unscrew oil pressure switch for reduced oil pressure -F378--1-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

The seal cannot be replaced individually.
If removed, oil pressure switch must be renewed.
Insert new oil pressure switch for reduced oil pressure -F378- immediately in hole to avoid loss of oil.
