This page explains the two convex tapered seat designs for Volkswagen Golf Mk7 wheel bolts: the spherical seat (curved section of a sphere) and the standard tapered seat.

Explanations regarding types of convex seats
There are two different versions of convex tapered seats, the spherical seat and the tapered.
   
The spherical seat is the curved surface of a section of a sphere -arrow A-. This type of convex seat is sometimes used for genuine wheel rims.
The tapered seat is the flat surface of a section of a taper -arrow B-. This type of convex seat is sometimes used for wheel rims of the accessories trade.

Make sure the correct wheel bolts are fitted → Electronic Parts Catalogue “ETKA”.
On each vehicle, the same wheel bolts must be used for all 4 wheel rims.
