WARNING: wear eye protection when drilling out rivets. This assembly overview covers the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 fire extinguisher bracket under the seat — removed by drilling out three rivets after taking off the seat cover and padding.

1 -  Bracket
  • Removing
–  Remove bracket -4-.
–  Remove seat cover and padding from seat pan → Chapter.
  WARNING
Risk of eye injury.
Wear eye protection.
–  Drill out rivets -2- with a drill, and remove bracket.
2 -  Rivet
  • Qty. 3
3 -  Bolt
  • Qty. 2
  • 8 Nm
4 -  Bracket
  • Removing
–  Remove fire extinguisher -6-.
–  Unscrew bolts -3-, and remove bracket.
5 -  Tensioning straps
6 -  Fire extinguisher
  • Removing
–  Open securing strap -5-, and remove fire extinguisher.
