Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing Blind Spot Monitor control unit J1086/J1087

Removing
   
–  Disconnect electrical connector -2-.
–  Unscrew nut -1- and bolts -4- for bracket.
 

Removing and installing Blind Spot Monitor control unit J1086/J1087

–  Remove Blind Spot Monitor control unit -J1086-/-J1087- together with bracket -1-.
–  Remove Blind Spot Monitor control unit -J1086-/-J1087--2- from bracket -1-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Normally, the Blind Spot Monitor is calibrated dynamically (automatically).
Static calibration is only necessary if entries have been recorded in the event memory.
Specified torques
→ Chapter „Assembly overview – Blind Spot Monitor (Blind Spot Detection)“
