1 -  Bolt
  • If removed due to an accident with seat belt fastened, renew bolt.
  • 20 Nm
2 -  Belt end fitting
  • Removing and installing → Chapter
3 -  Bolt
  • If removed due to an accident with seat belt fastened, renew bolt
  • 40 Nm
4 -  Belt inertia reel
  • Driver side: with driver seat belt tensioner igniter 1 -N153- and control unit for front left belt tensioner -J854-
  • Front passenger side: with front passenger seat belt tensioner igniter 1 -N154- and control unit for front right belt tensioner -J855-.
  • Removing and installing → Chapter
  • For vehicles with control unit for front left belt tensioner -J854- or control unit for front right belt tensioner -J855-, the airbag control unit -J234- must be adapted in → Guided fault finding after renewing the seat belt. If the → Guided fault finding is already running, then refresh test plan “15 - Airbag”.
5 -  Bolts
  • Qty. 2
  • 4.5 Nm
6 -  Front belt guide
  • Removing and installing → Chapter
  • Observe correct installation position when installing.
7 -  Bolt
  • If removed due to an accident with seat belt fastened, renew bolt.
  • 40 Nm
8 -  Belt guide fitting
  • Must move to vertical position or operated position on its own after bolt has been tightened
9 -  Bolt
  • If removed due to an accident with seat belt fastened, renew bolt.
  • 20 Nm
10 -  Belt height adjustment
  • Removing and installing → Chapter
  • Always renew after belt tensioner has deployed with seat belt fastened
11 -  Washer
12 -  Bolt
  • If removed due to an accident with seat belt fastened, renew bolt
  • 40 Nm
  • Start bolt by hand when installing
13 -  Retaining loop
