Pull Bowden cable -3- out of lock

Thread Bowden cable -2- out of guide

Pull Bowden cable together with grommet -3-
out of vehicle. |

Pull towing bracket -1- in a parallel
movement out of longitudinal members. |

Installation is carried out in reverse order. |

and seal the passenger compartment against exhaust fumes, and
must without exception be installed. |

| Ensure that grommet -3- on Bowden cable
is properly secured in cross panel. |

How do I remove the Golf Mk7 towing bracket?
The exhaust system may need to be lowered for some versions. Unbolt the bracket from the rear body structure. Minor differences exist between versions.
