Volkswagen Golf Mk7 Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing striker pin

Using torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-, this page gives the procedure for removing the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 rear lid striker pin from the lock carrier — remove the rear lid lock trim, then unscrew the hexagon nuts securing the pin.

Removing and installing striker pin

Removing
–  Remove trim for rear lid lock → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70.
–  Unscrew hexagon nuts -2- and remove striker pin -1- from lock carrier.
Installing
–  Mount striker pin -1- with hexagon nuts -2- onto lock carrier.
–  Adjusting striker pin → Chapter.
Specified torques

Hexagon nut → Chapter „Assembly overview - rear lid“
